Travel insurance – Programmes

The travel insurance is designed for all clients travelling abroad and also within the Czech Republic. It suits all who want to spend their holiday or business trip without any worries.

These programmes offer a 10% discount on travel insurance. Moreover, you can obtain another 10% discount if you arrange the insurance on-line. They cover the most frequent requirements of our clients and apply to 10-day tourist trips within Europe and other Mediterranean countries. This insurance also covers recreational sports activities, such as swimming, tennis, volleyball, etc.

The discount may be used not only by single travellers but also by a family with two children.

There are two options of programmes differing in the range of covered risks:

Basic – offers basic protection against any potential illness

  • includes medical expenses insurance for trips abroad, including assistance services,
  • limit class A applies in this case.

Complex – offers complex protection against any unpleasant situations that may occur during the holiday

  • except for the medical expenses insurance (with limit class A), it also includes three types of additional insurance
    • additional accident insurance to cover the consequences of an accident
    • insurance of liability for damage (any damage to health, property and financial damage) caused to third persons
    • insurance against loss or theft of luggage.

What to do if an insured event occurs?

Should an insured event arise, please contact the assistance company AXA Assistance at the telephone number (+420) 272 10 10 11.
More information.

  • contact the assistance company without undue delay
  • keep the originals of medical reports, diagnoses, lists of treatment procedures and bills, or originals of these documents´ duplicates
  • notify the assistance company of the insured event in writing immediately after you return from the trip

The assistance company guarantees that the physician and health-care facilities will be reimbursed for the cost related to the necessary medical treatment or to the transport of the insured back to his/her home country, including the professional medical accompaniment.

In a short telephone conversation you provide the assistance company with this basic information:

  • payment card number
  • name, surname and birth certificate number of the insured who is in need
  • brief description and circumstances of the insured event
  • address and telephone number of the place from which you are calling

The operator will call you back in order to get more detailed information and to provide you with instructions.

How to arrange the insurance?

You can obtain our products at any branch of Komerční banka. Special insurance products designed for other companies of our financial group (Modrá pyramida, Essox, Penzijní fond KB) can be arranged with the representatives of these companies.
